Hi
i have 2x VC-FC modules 409513-b21 and 409513-b22.
Can someone tell me what the latest firmware pack is for both. the firmware page for these is very confusing.

Hi guys,
My name is Nhat Anh from Viet Nam. So i'm managing a Blade system C7000. This one often power off automatically. How can i do to resolved this issue? I checked system log on this device but nothing is strange.
Thanks!
i recently got an hp c7000,
ive plugged in the PSU's and infront the led glows green and you hear them lightly,
sadly nothing else happens,
no display, no blades, no fans, no other leds.
anyone got an idea what couldl cause such issue and how can i fix it ?
Thanks.
Got a call from a customer with a C7000 system. He says that the whole upper row of fans has shut down... no lights... no air movement.
We first tried to re-seat the fans, OA etc. then reboot the OA but nothing changed. So we changed the entire midplane. Problem solved.
But I was curious and wanted to know what caused that failure. Are there fuses on the midplane...? So I started to disassemble the midplane assy and found this (see picture). It is unbelievable but this large power connector was disconnected!
It was just hanging there on it's wires.
I assume (since all the other options were unrealistic) that the person at HP who assembled this did not connect it properly. There is no other explanation because this connector does not jump out by itself (vibration etc.) it really holds tight when istalled right.
I wonder if someone else has ever experienced such a problem??
PS: I made a video about disassembling the C7000 midplane: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLXlkaJrzCs
We changed a C7000 midplane (see other post about fans) and had some trouble to get VC profiles run after the change because the enclosure serial number changed. We had to delete the old profiles and make new ones.
The problem is that the serial number of the enclosure must be changed to the previous BEFORE blades and I/O modules are installed.... we know that now .-)
Here is my question:
I changed another C7000 midplane here in the lab and strangely the serial number did not change. I powered the enclosure up with only power supplies, OA and fans. Checking the encl.SN in the OA "Enclosure Information"
Where is that serial number stored? And why does it change in one case but not in the other?? Does that depend on the OA firmware? Or if you have servers installed or not?
Hallo dear ,
I got new Bladesystem HPE C7000 with Proliant BL460c Gen10 hosted by provider Datacenter, the Servers should have LUN boot means no Physical HDD in it , so what i got from the provider is WWN and access to the Virtual Connect manager and Onbard administration page.
i am wondering now how i can find those LUNs , map them to my Servers and how i can boot from them
appriciates your kind help

Hi experts,
"error in reading ILO configration data" appeared when OA SNMP setting , it could be repaired by shutdown blade ,but occured after a while .how to solve it ?
Hi,
In the Scripting Tools for Windows PowerShell User Guide BIOS Cmdlets v2.1 it says about Get-HPEBIOSSetting:
The cmdlet Get-HPEBIOSSetting returns all the BIOS configuration information for the target server. This information includes base configuration, current configuration, and pending configuration of the target server. You can also use this cmdlet to get the base configuration from one server and apply it to other servers.
However, the doc is not clear how to do this. I cannot find any cmdlet called Set-HPEBIOSSetting or similar to simply apply all these settings. How can we clone BIOS settings from one server to another? Are we supposed to use multiple cmdlets to apply the values from Get-HPEBIOSSetting?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Hi,
I have one ProLiant BL460c Gen10 server which has array controller HP 836263-001 SMART ARRAY P204I-B SR GEN10 (4 INTERNAL LANES/1GB CACHE) 12G SAS MODULAR CONTROLLER, i want to set wirte cache here and cache ratio would be 10% Read and 90% write. My bacakup power source status is "Present"
So My query is that is this confoguraion is okay and Server will not face data loss during power failure? Please see details below

Hi everyone,
I am pretty new to Virtualization technology on HP C70000, I have some basics questions:
1) Normally, on hp server running EXSi,we can define standard vswitch, where we can map more than one physical ports on the box to Vswitch to allow redundancy. Does HP C7000 supports that i.e can I define standard Vsw, and map two physical ports on the box to Vswitch for redundancy ?
Apprecaited !!
We have been having issues with m.2 booting issues and have decided to replace with SFF SATA SSD drives. We have defined the SFF drives in OneView as the boot devices in the server profile as drive 1 but the BL460c continue to boot from M.2 is there anyway to disable the M2 devices from booting?

Hi,
We have a chassis c7000 (which contain a number of blade servers) and it has on the back an ILO connection connected to a network switch.
If we move the chassis ILO connection another switch, will it affect any of the ILO connections of the Blade servers ?
TIA
Hi,
I have a c7000 enclosure with multiple BL460 Gen10 blades with VMware 6.5 installed. OA/VC/BIOS/iLO are all up to date. Some of the servers names as an example ESXP01 and some say ESXP02.local (with domain name). I want them to all to include the domain name.
I followed this article to change the server tag http://virtualcloudzz.blogspot.com/2012/11/how-to-assign-or-change-blade-name-in.html. In onboard administrator, it showed the name did change, I check back the next day and it changed back.
I also tried changing the server name in iLO Web Administration, but it would change but change back after a few minutes. I even restarted iLO. it said AMS will most likely override entry.
In VMware the hostname is correct, the DNS suffix is also present.
I am running out of ideas for what I should do. Any ideas?
Seeing this on a Gen8 server blade, it powers off with a critical error. Have 5 other blades of the same model in the same chassis with no issue. There is no power issue with the chassis.
Blade is on the latest f/w I believe, 05/21/2018 BIOS, 2.61 iLO4
Reseating the blade clears the error for a bit before it happens again. Thanks!

EDIT: I found this
https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c04750148
Which claims the issue was fixed with a BIOS update in 2014 (obviously not in this case). I am going to try to workaround which is disabling CPU power management.
Unfortunately the server will not stay powered on long enough to even get into the BIOS to change the CPU power setting any longer. So still asking for help on this one if anyone has an experience with the issue. Thanks!
Quickly locate your Storage Disk Enclosure model and check to see that you are running the current I/O module firmware --
Visit the HPE Storage Disk Enclosure - I/O Module Firmware reference page for information on the D6020, D6000, D3600/D3700/D3610/D3710, D2600/D2700 models.

Hi,
We are experiencing a verry weird situation, upgarded my OAs and VCs 2 weeks ago, when I rebooted (reseted) one othe VCs I lost all connexions to my ESXi host, I had the same situation when I rebooted the other VC
C7000
HP VC FlexFabric 10Gb/24-Port Module
Upgraded to latest version 4.62
OA 4.85
set to Horizontal Stacking
What would be the issue ?
Hello all,
I have to add a C7000 at a client location, and form a stack using the C7000 already in place.
From reading the documenation, I understand that I must have similar firware on all devices.
When upgrading FlexFabric and Chassis firmware, the doc mention no reboot needed. Can anyone confirm that this can be done in production ?
Then, for going to a VC single chassis stack to a multiple chassis stack will this affect the production aswell ?
Thanks in advance for any help.
regards.
Hi,
I am trying to set up a new C7K Enclosure. I am trying to configure the EBIPA with Static IPs. For some reason they keep changing intermittently to 0.0.0.0 IPs. I am unable to understand this behavior. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ensure your HPE MSA drives are running current firmware. Use the HDD/SDD Model Number matrix to locate the latest firmware for your MSA array.
