Hi,

We are adding additional blades (bl460 G9 with HP FlexFabric 10Gb 2-port 536FLB Adapter)  to our C7000 G2 which has bl460 G6 already. We do not have VC on this chassis. We use CISCO 3020 .  Is VC Mandatory to configure BL460 G9 ?  We are installing ESXi and we need 4 nic.  

We have 735151-B21. When we put there 16pcs of 708643-B21, we got these messages:

When I put only 1 stick - it's works. When I put one or any more addition - it doesn't work. The same error.

When I removed all 708643-B21 and put old memory (256gb) it works without any mistakes. What's that?

J'ai accueri depuis peu de temps un C7000 de premiere génération (408316-001) d'occasion pour faire fonctionner des lames G6 (507779-B21).

Or après réception, je n'ai pu acceder a l'interface d'administration seulement avec une antiquité sous windows XP ;-) car l'OA (407296-001 ou 414055-001) nécéssitait Internet Explorer 6 ou 7.

J'ai vite remarqué que son firmware était a la version 2.34...

Voila alors la question : Comment mettre à jour le firmware (sans "de préférence" tout casser) et quelle version appliquer à chaque composant (lames, OA) ?

Derniere chose, j'utilise pour la connection des lames avec un switch à l'exterieur des modules HP 1Gb Ethernet Pass-Thru (419329-001) .

Seulement, après l'installation d'un OS (linux) sur les lames, la carte réseau ajoutée ne démare pas à cause d'une interruption. Est-ce à cause du firmware des lames, de l'OA, faut t-il mettre à jour toute l'installation (Surement je pense) et alors, comment le faire proprement et avec quelles versions des firmwares ?

i have a OA module for a c3000 bladesystem whos insight lcd panel's screen cable broke. the display is pretty old, so the cable was not in the best shape... 

anyways i cant find the screen cable anywere, and i could need some help finding it! id rather pay 50$ for a screen cable than a whole OA module... :/

Hi i am using C7000 enclosures and HP blade servers. and i am running vsphere6. I  want to upgrade the firmware of Enclosure BL servers. Please provide me any links or documents  of upgrading the firmware. what benefits do hypervisor get by upgrading them.

Recently bought a used c-7000 system with 10 blades. I have next to no experience with these machines.

I am trying to acess it via standard network cable from my windows 7 machine. to the port of the OA

I removed the OA module to find the sticker with the server serial number. user name, dns name and password.

The problem is I dont have the IP adress. I know it would be on the isight display at the front, but that is the problem

This machine has no lcd display on the front only 4 wires where it use to be !!

I read on another forum that the Ip is supposed to be on this sticker but it is not.

Is there a default IP or am i going to have to get an isight display for the front

As it stands I have no way of accessing the machine.

I have a c7000 chassis fully populated with bl460g6, and configured the power system to non-redundant and using 3 PSU's in the slots 1,2 and 4 of the chassis as mentioned in the manual.

When I try to power on the blades, few of them were not powered on and displays erros, insufficient enclosure power.

The total enclosure power was approximatley 2000watts and from the PSU's ratings I see that, the 3 PSU's can provide max output of 6000 Watts, and the PDU's to which this enclosure was connected has capacity to provide the power.

Am I missing something in the settings ?

I have a C7000 enclosure with some bl 465 G7 servers.

On the servers ILO 3 there is a BL c-class button that gives access to OA on the enclosure.

How can I restrict that access, so that servers ILO can't access OA ?

Hi all, I'm brand new to this kind of server architecture so I apologize if this question is stupid.  I searched the forum for an answer and couldn't find one, but if anybody knows of a thread that might help, I'm happy to read up on that thread too.

Here's my problem.  I recently upgraded from some Proiant DL160 servers to a c7000 enclosure with a few BL460c g6's.  I found the DL160s to be extremely straightforward and was naiive to think that the blade system architecture would be similarly easy to get a grasp on.  I can tell it's powerful, I just haven't been able to maximize it yet due to my inexperience.

The BL460c's in the enclosure can't seem to achieve a network connection.  They appear in the Onboard Administrator and I can see temperature readings, and basic diagnostics, which is great.  But the servers themselves can't seem to connect to the network.  I can't seem get an ILO connection either, due to what I assume is the same problem.  The server appears to be booting up just fine whenever I connect to it using an I/O cable.  Everything seems normal, minus the absence of network connectivity.  I have Cisco Catalyst 3020 Blade Switches in interconnect bays 1 & 2. and I'm running Widows Server 2012 R2.  

I guess my first question is this:  Is the onboard NIC sufficient to connect to the network?  Or do I need to get separate mezzanine cards in order to achieve network connectivity?
